On October 16, 2004, the second baptism followed the Okinawa by the PMM. Mr. Fuchikami, 46 years old, and Ms. Kita MinaKo, 54 years old, got baptized by Pastor Shin, Dong Hee, Youth Director of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, and Ko, Gi Rim, a PMM Pastor in a coast of Fukui, Japan. Pastor Shin said on the ceremony, "It is meaningful that two Japanese are baptized here by two Korean Pastors, because 100 years ago, a Japanese Pastor Kunia baptized two Koreans in Japan who became the first Adventists in Korea." From October 11 to 16, as one of seven-week evangelistic series in Japan, the Fukui Church evangelistic meeting brought more than 17 non Adventist attendees. Pastor Shin had delivered powerful messages with the Golden Angel Singers sponsored by the Northern Asia-Pacific Division. The Fukui area is one of the most difficult places for evangelism to Japan because of strong Buddhism influence. However, the wining souls of Fukui Church shows a high potential saying "Evangelism is Possible in Japan."
