Golden Angels One Year Anniversary Music Concert : “Champion of Love”

On December 19, 2004, the Golden Angels held One Year Anniversary Music Concert with the title of “Champion Of Love,” in Sahmyook University Auditorium, Seoul , Korea . In the Sunday evening, the special event inspired more than 2,000 people including church members who participated to celebrate and support the great mission of the music group.

The 2 hour concert was served by the 1^st and 2^nd groups of the Golden Angels with the beautiful songs and instruments. Also, special music was featured by Ye-Ah-Chan (Kid Quior of Jesus) so called as “Little Angels,” Professor Shin Hye Suh (violin), and Sumi and Yukio Ichihara (Guitar and Harp) from Japan. (Mrs. Sumi Ichihara was awarded the second place at the Arpa Guitar Concours of Japan in 1999. She and her husband are attending the Matsumoto Church where PMM Pastor Park , Jong Soo is pastoring in Japan .)

During the event, the appreciation plaques were awarded to 7 members of the 1^st group of the Golden Angels (Jin Hyung Kim, Hee Sung Lee, Ju Ik Park, Min-Su Chang, MuJiGae ParkGol, Soo Kyoung Baek, Su Yong Lee) for their dedication throughout this year. And it was followed by the 2^nd group’s dedicational service for the next year, 2005.

Dr. Jairyong Lee, president of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, said, “I congratulate on the One Year Anniversary Music Concert of the Golden Angels, and thank for their whole year dedication touching ten thousands of people with heavenly music in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and etc…. The most inspiring thing is that the Golden Angels is not an ordinary singing group, and the members have accomplished their great mission and dedicated for the Lord for the whole year.”

Since the Golden Angels was organized in 2003 sponsored by the Northern Asia-Pacific Division to support the Pioneer Mission Movement (PMM) and various evangelistic meetings, the 1^st group has delivered the Gospel through their music to people beyond the border of countries, cultures and languages in the Northern Asia-Pacific region. Especially the Golden Angles encouraged and help the PMM missionaries to plan church and spread the Gospel in Japan , Taiwan .

The 7 members of the 1^st group who stopped their job or study temporarily to serve the Lord with music finish their work at the end of this year. For 2004, the Golden Angles (Music director, Joshua (Dong Hee) Shin) had been involved with many evangelistic meetings in various palaces in the Northern Asia-Pacific Area, performing more than 200 times of music features to introduce Jesus Christ to more than 50,000 souls in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese languages.

The concert of “Champion Of Love” will be produced as DVD for evangelistic kits. We thank all of the dedicated 7 members for their sacrificial mission.
