Recently the “NEWSTART” health evangelism began to attract churches in Taiwan including the Adventist Church and other denomination churches. From January 15 to 22, 2005, the Adventist church in Taichung and Taichung Christian Ministerial Association co-hosted the “NEWSTART” Health Evangelism to bring more than 200 people to the Taiping Elementary School in Taichung city. The speaker was Dr. Sang Lee who is the founder of the “NEWSTART” Lifestyle Program, and Professor at the Weimar College and Institute.

During the evangelistic seminar with the title, “21 Century is “Time of Gene Medicine”, Dr. Lee delivered 8 presentations: “How to strengthen your Immune System, Lower Your Blood Pressure, Conquer Diabetes, Solve Problems with Osteoporosis, Postmenopausal Syndromes, Can You Avoid Alzheimer Disease, How to Suppress Aging Process, Successful Fight against Cancer, and How to regenerate your Brain cells and recover from Stroke”

Especially this health evangelistic series impacted other denomination church leaders and members who attended the programs. Pastor Norman Tu who is pastor in Taichung Church, and translated Dr. Sang Lee’s lectures said, “More Sunday churches became interested in our Adventist church message. More people began to know about the Adventists, and to be positive to us.”

As the result of the programs, 30 people decided to join the NEWSTART Programs and Bible Study. According to Pastor Norman Tu, many sick people got hope from the lectures, other denomination church leaders got excited about the messages, and encouraged their members to buy our CD and attend the NEWSTART programs.
