One hundred sixty Chinese young people gathered at the Hong Kong Adventist College, June 30-July 3, 2005. Under a theme, ‘Commitment’ the Hong Kong-Macao Conference held the ‘2005 Youth Congress’ for the young people who are be
tween 16 to 30 years old. Among the participants there were high school and college students, as well as working young adults. About 20 percent of them were non-Adventists.
They enjoyed meaningful topics such as ‘How to find their a life companion,’ ‘How To Know Your Spiritual Gifts,’ ‘Issues After Marriage,’ ‘Religious Issues Of College Students,’ ‘Health Message,’ ‘Christian Values At Work,’ and ‘Christian Interpersonal Skills.’ During the congress, presentations were made by Pastor Samuel Jiao, a field director for the Chinese Union Mission, and Alphon (Chun Kit) Fung, youth director for the Hong Kong-Macao Conference.

“Many participants decided to commit themselves to the Lord and His Church. Five new young people became interested in the Bible Studies offered. Some of the attendees hesitated in joining these meetings but afterwards they said that they would lose themselves if they had not come,” said Pastor Fung.
