The SDA Language Institute and Sahmyook Soybean Milk were given the Best Brand Awards on April 26, 2005 by the Korean Management Association Consultants (KMAC) at the Millennium Hilton Hotel in Seoul. The 13th Korea Marketing Best Awards was held in the presence of more than 1,200 people from industries, schools, etc.
It is a great testimony that there were two Adventist organizations among the 37 companies on the list of the ‘2005 Korea Marketing Best Awards’ organized by the KMAC.
The evaluation committee which is composed of specialists in management and business administration including professors evaluated all the candidates and chose the bests for several areas including marketing, brand, design, and internet usage.
This is the second year in a row that the SDA Language Institute has been honored as the best in this same category. This year the language school received a higher position than the previous years ranking. Sahmyook Food has continued to receive very good recognition from its customers.
The brands, ‘SDA,’ and ‘Sahymook,’ are well known to the public in Korea through the successful business performances of the language school and the food company. The SDA Language Institute is 36 years old and now it has 37 branches and more than 50,000 students. The Sahmyook Foods Company is a leading soybean milk producer which worldwide produces more than 2 million packs of drink a day.
