PMM Families Leave for Japan

Following the PMM (Pioneer Mission Movement) missionary teams who left for Taiwan and Mongolia, the 5 PMM pastors including their 14 family members departed Korea for Japan on March 2, 2005. As the 3rd group of the PMM, they will be trained studying the Japanese language and cultures for one year and sent to plant churches serving 5 years in Japan.

At the Incheon Airport, Pastor Stanley Ng, secretary of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD), delivered encouraging messages and offered the prayer to the Lord, saying “You are challenging one of the most difficult areas to evangelize. The NSD families and I are very proud of you. Whenever you face some hardships with cultures and the language barrier, and other things, you may remember that God is always with you. May the Lord give the power of the Holy Spirit to you so that you can face the challenge and accomplish the mission.”

The five PMM pastors for Japan are Ahn Hae Soo, Ghil Chul Jong, Kang Hyen Jung, Lee Sung Hoo, and Nam Jin Koo. With a strong voice, “Fighting” for the mission, they reaffirmed their resolutions before departure.

Ahn Hae Soo said “I will help those who are looking for the life find the direction of the road. I become the missionary who goes to the end where he should do only depending on God. I want to be the missionary to help the idol worshiping people like the Giant Cities of Bashan to be changed.”

Ghil Chul Jong said “When I read the PMM project through some paper, I thought I should join it. As one of my friends said, I will do only what the Lord asks me to do. I believe He will use me very well. Please pray for us always as prayer supporters.”

Kang Hyen Jung said “I remember the slogan, “The Biggest Challenge in This Century” that I got during my 1000 Missionary time. I thank God again for this mission given to me. It will be the most joyful thing and the glory to the Lord to plant churches where there is no church.”

Lee Sung Hoo said “I am going now because I got a call and assurance from the Lord. I will visit people from doors to doors in Japan. I am very thankful to my wife she supports this PMM and her willingness to dedicate even facing this difficulties.”

Nam Jin Koo said “In spite of 2 year experience of pastoring, I want to see how God accomplish His great mission through me. I am certain that Jesus is coming very soon. People who are sleep may dream but those who are awaken will accomplish their dreams. I wish we should be always be awaken and prepared to meet Jesus.”
