Pastor Stanley Ng, executive secretary of the NSD, read the Mission Statement of the NSD and President Jairyong Lee delivered the morning devotion with the title, ‘Why Mission Day.’ Dr. Lee emphasized the necessity of the Mission Day as an example. He wished our all the NSD institutes would prepare a mission day to exemplify the saying “Every true Christian, or disciple is born into the kingdom of God as a missionary” quoting from the E.G White’s writing.

Two missionaries were invited to share their experiences with the NSD staff during the morning and afternoon devotions. One presenter impressed the staff with his seven years of missionary life resulting in 200 baptism. Kim Ellis, who is working as a Bible teacher at the SDA Language Institute in Korea, talked about how she became a missionary. Then the NSD workers were divided into 10 groups to share the previous year of their personal evangelistic outreach approaches and discussed on how they planned to win souls for this coming year.

Invitations were given to 40 business offices in the same building as the NSD to join them for lunch. Seven workers participated in the special buffet at the NSD office. The Golden Angels gave a mini concert during the lunch time. The songs touched the participants, causing tears to flow. After lunch, the Golden Angels delivered cookies and the Adventist magazines to the people who didn’t come for the meal.

At 4 p.m. all of the NSD staff gave out literature in the streets, subway stations, business centers, and the lake park. The Adventist magazines and the Golden Angels’ music CDs were distributed introducing Jesus Christ to those who received them. The following morning, each group reported their missions. Pastor Kwon JohngHaeng, the PMM coordinator, who organized the mission day program, said “I hope this program will not be ended just as an annual event, but a daily practice for life.”
