During the 58th General Conference Session of the Seventh-day Adventists from June 30-July 9, 2005 with a them, "Transformed in Christ," church leasers for the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) were elected in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

Following the re-election of Dr. Jan Paulsen as world church president by the delegates representing more than 14 million Adventists, Dr. Jairyong Lee was re-elected as president of the NSD for a next five-year term.

As officers, Secretary Akeri Suzuki and Treasurer Donald W. Upson were elected to office of the NSD. Akeri Suzuki has worked for evangelistic research center and ministerial association of the Japan Union Conference. Donald W. Upson has worked for the Adventist World Radio as Treasurer.

On July 6, the NSD Nominating Committee recommended and the Expanded Executive Committee voted to appoint departmental directors as follows:

Assistant to the President: Ng, Wai Chun (Stanley)

Associate Treasurer: Sung, Guimo (Re-appointed)

Assistant Treasurer: Lyu, Dong Jin (Re-appointed)

Communication/PARL/ATN/SOP: Glenn Mitchell (Re-appointed)

Global Mission/PMM: Kwon JohngHaeng (Re-appointed)

Youth/AMiCUS/Music Ministries: Shin, Dong Hee (Joshua) (Re-appointed)

ACM/Education/Language School: Phoon, Chek Yat

Children Ministries/Family Ministries/Women Ministries/Shepherdess: Sally Phoon

Sabbath School & Personal Ministries/ Health Ministries/VOP: Kim Dae Sung

Ministerial/Stewardship/Publishing: Miguel Luna

Chek Yat Phoon and his wife Sally Phoon who are Malaysian have been working as union departmental directors in Singapore. Miguel Luna has been teaching at Hong Kong Adventist College. Kim, Dae Sung was a former Sabbath School director of the Korean Union Conference, and has been serving the Lord as Pastor at Seoul Central Church.
