2nd Bi-Division Shepherdess Convention July 13-17, 2008 Bangkok, Thailand The 2nd Bi-Division Shepherdess Convention for the Northern and Southern Asia-Pacific Divisions was held in Bangkok, Thailand between July 13 and 17, 2008. Purposefully designed for church pastors, leaders and their spouses, the theme of “Inreach for Outreach” focused on enriching couple relationships in the families of our leaders because we believe that the family unit is the foundation to the church and society at large. When the pastoral family is strong, they model the practical power of Christ in the life, and a disciplined family is more effective than a thousand sermons preached. A
total of 422 participants enjoyed the breakout
sessions, the panel discussions on the subject of
intimacy and shepherdess issues.
The musical treats were numerous from both
divisions—an angkhlung band from Indonesia, the
Shulamite choir from Korea led by Dr Ru Chae Kwang,
various singing groups from the Philippines and
special accordion music by Mrs. Hong (Jang Ju Nyeo).
A prayer corner early in the morning before
the sessions commenced each day provided a channel
for women to come together to share their burdens
and pray for each other.
Our prayer is that the convention has been a
source of encouragement and blessing for all. Sharon Cress, GC Associate Ministerial Secretary
for Shepherdess International with the NSD &
SSD Shepherdess Coordinators
