On November 5-6, 2024, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) held its YearEnd Pre-Meeting, gathering officers and directors from eight countries for the meetings. This Pre-Meeting held particular significance as it was the first since four new countries joined the NSD, adding a fresh dynamic to the discussions. With more participants than the previous year, the event marked an enthusiastic start to preparations for the upcoming Year-End Meeting.
Each day began with a morning devotional, as approximately 50 attendees gathered in the auditorium for worship and praise. On the first day, Jung HyoSu, President of Sri Lanka Mission, shared a message based on Acts chapters 10 and 11, emphasizing, “Our unions, missions, divisions, even the General Conference are not perfect and have shortcomings, but God called us to do His work and mission.” He added, “There are no mistakes in His work, and how wonderful and grateful it is to work alongside Him.”
On the second day, Kim WonSang, President of the Bangladesh Union Mission, delivered the morning message. He reflected, “Just as a single grain of wheat bears much fruit, a small seed that we plant can, through God’s hand, result in an abundant harvest.”
After the morning devotionals, the Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, and Officers Councils convened, followed by departmental interviews. This provided officers and directors from each country a precious opportunity to meet face-to-face, exchange greetings, and build connections.
The second afternoon included the Finance & Budget Committee and the Audit and Compensation Review Committee meetings, followed by the CA/BOE, AMR Committee, and 1000MM Board meetings, concluding the two-day Pre-Meeting.
